I am honored to have been re-elected Post Quartermaster for the 2011-2012 year. I am committed to continued improvement at our Post and within our community. I look forward to serving the membership with our newly elected officers and will strive to make VFW Post 8680 the best it can be.
Like several of the Post officers I proudly served in the U.S. Navy. During my four years of active duty I was stationed aboard two aircraft carriers and completed three, six month deployments (1 Med cruise, 2 West Pac). I was also attached to a part of the special warfare community while assigned to a helicopter squadron in the Naval Reserves. It is a pleasure to meet and speak with other veterans at the Post and share our military experiences.
I hope to meet more members and visitors to our Post in the coming months. If I can be of any assistance to you please feel free to contact me. I encourage all members to stop by the Post and become involved.

Biography
Fellow members, thank you for selecting me as your Post Surgeon. I will do my best to provide the best support to you and your family. I would like to share with you a brief biography of my naval career:
I have served as an Interior Communications Electrician in the Navy/Naval Reserves 1965-2003 aboard three destroyer type ships, surface divisions, weapon stations, Fleet Training Group, and Combat Camera Group 0194 PACFLT. I served one tour in Viet Nam 1967-1968 while serving aboard USS Brooke (DEG-1) escorting USS Yorktown (CV-10) participating in three combat campaign operations, including the U.S. response to the Jan68 North Korean capture of the USS Pueblo (AGER-2).
I have been a member of Post 8680 for five years and I want to be available to all members.
I will be submitting to the Post on this website, under the tab 'Message Board', some health, safety, and welfare information which I hope will be of assistance to our Post members and their families.
Please note that I do not have any professional medical training and therefore I will be submitting to you only material and information that I personally obtain through research.
